BLAST FROM THE PAST GALLERY
In this gallery we will be displaying pictures from
boat racing's rich history. Check back, we will be adding more pictures
soon.

The E-72 with Jim Latimer in Wenatchee,
WA. 1987.

This was my second year of racing. I was
11 years old and this is in turn one at Loutsis Lake in Duvall. This boat
and engine was given to me by Brian Anderson and my dad painted it up
for me. We still have that boat!! -
Dustin Echols (driver of the UL-17)

This shot was taken by Jim Mowrey in 1979
of Wil Muncey at Alexanders Resort on Lake Sammamish in the Corsair
formerly the Sabre Dance built by Jim Mowrey in 1976

This picture was shot at the
Jim Spinner Memorial Regatta on Lk Sammamish,
in May of 1978.
Jim Mowrey designed/built this particular
"Sabre Dance" 280 hull in 1976 (this was his 2nd Sabre
Dance). He still vividly recalls this heat - Neal Yapachino's roostertail
in the "Joyia Mia" can be seen just to Jim's inside
- they had a great side by side race!

Green Lake Memorial Day Regatta,
May 1976. Steve Reynolds in White Lightening against Jim Kropfeld
in Country Boy, both 225 Class hydroplanes.
Jim Kropfeld showed up at Green Lake in a new
Staudacher Country Boy that was very fast. Steve was still driving his
Norm Berg hull. Steve knew he would have to run very, very hard
to beat Kropfeld. Both Jim & Steve were flying at the start
- upon entering the first turn at Green Lake, the White Lightening
lifted its outside sponson and blew over. Pictures
donated by Jim Mowrey

Alexander's Beach on Lake Sammamish. Spring of 1978.
Bill Muncey came to watch Wil Muncey, his son, race that day.

Shockwave Racing Team member Bill
Thompson in Ron Hedges S-800 "Featherfoot" .

Terry Troxell in his Seven Liter
(J-36) in the mid 80's at Black Lake (Olympia, WA) giving a thumbs up
to Rick on the dock taking pictures and that is what got Rick started
in boat racing.
