- UL-17 arrives at Shockwave Racing Shop!
We took delivery of the new Ron Jones Jr designed UL17 on December 21st.
Special Thanks to Ron Jones Jr, Composite Laminate Services and our
devoted crew members for all their hard work on completing the boat.
We are looking forward to a great 2007 season.

- Team Trip
The team members that could make it went to Firebird Lake to watch the IHBA World Championship Drag Boat Races. While we are waiting for our boat to be finished we took a few days off to enjoy the Arizona sun and watch fellow team member Earl Smith tune the Night Mare Top Alcohol Flatbottom boat that he has worked with for the last 15 years, they finished second for the weekend.

9.1.06 - UL 17 Progress
Work is progressing rapidly at JR Jones shop on the completion of the UL 17. Hardware is being installed, the cockpit is being fitted and we hope to have it finished in the next few weeks.

8.10.06 - UL 17 Progress
The UL17's bottom was painted on Monday morning it will be flipped and ready to start work on the top side today, adding stringers, hardware, decks, and then painted and ready to test hopefully by San Diego.

The results and standings pages have been updated after the races in Tri-Cities and Seattle.
8.2.06 - Tri-Cities update
The G-17 Schuck's Auto Supply was involved in a catastrophic blowover accident. Dustin Echols the driver escaped serious injuries. He had just won the 2nd heat of ACCS competition when his throttle stuck at the finish line resulting in the blowover. Dustin was able to extract himself from the boat and was waiting when rescue personnel arrived.
7.21.06 - Tri-Cities update
The G 17 - Shucks Auto Supply team is looking forward to returning to
the Tri-Cities
Water Follies Atomic Cup July 28th-30th where last year it was
destroyed in a spectacular blow over accident. Dustin Echols will be debuting
in the American Challenge Cup Series Competition.

- G-17 Black Lake Test
We tested G-17 on both Saturday and Sunday at the Black Lake Regatta. We were very happy with the way things went. Dustin got out of the boat after the first run with a big smile and said he felt very comfortable in it. We are looking forward to running Seafair with it.

6.28.06 - G-17 & UL-17 progress
More progress has been made on both the G-17 and the new UL-17.
The G-17 is being painted this week, the motor and systems will be installed
within the next week.
The UL17 is turned upside down and is scheduled to have the bottom primered
and painted this week. JR Jones of CLS is working very hard to have it
ready for delivery the 8th of July.

Shockwave Racing's UL-17 Ted's Red Apple Market will
not make the season opener at Tastin'n'Racin
the construction
of the new UL17 is behind schedule. Ron Jones Jr of Composite
Laminate Services has assured us it will be ready for delivery on July
8th and then the team will put in many hours getting it ready for Tricities
installing all systems.
Due to lack of ACCS events the G-17 will compete in select Region 10 Events.
Black
Lake in Olympia Washington on July 8-9 will host several Grand Prix boats
which run 511c.i. supercharged engines. It will be the first time
in many years that these boats have run on Black Lake, you won't want
to miss the thunder.

1.02.06 - UL-17 construction starts!
The birth of the UL17 is officially underway. The canopy lid and
the escape hatch have been made the rest of the parts will soon follow.
