Hull

The G-17 is a Ron Jones Jr. designed hydroplane that was built by Jason Crawley and Ed Preston. It was originally built as a UL but after running the boat one season, the team decided to run it in the Thunderboat class. The hull is made mostly of carbon fiber and is the most state of the art hydroplanes in the world. In its first year as a Thunderboat, this hull won almost every race it entered and won the national championship. The technology that was built into this boat will keep it at the front of the field for years to come.
